SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
The Maria Church in Bergen – Water and Sewage – V-01.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Works.
Execution.
Main site or location of works: Bergen, Norway.
II.1.3) The notice involves: A public contract.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Maria
Church was constructed sometimes during the 1100 century and is the oldest
preserved building in Bergen. The Maria Church and the ground/ cemetery
surrounding the Church are listed in accordance with the Act concerning
the cultural heritage. This means that the Directorate for Cultural
Heritage in Norway has professional and consultative administration
liability in relation to antiquarian questions.
The Maria Church has considerable internal and external plastering damages
and is therefore subject to renovation works. From 4.1.2010 the Church
will be closed for the public and will be held closed in approx. 5 years
whilst the works are in progress. During this period, the following Water
and Sewage works are scheduled: external (main ditch) and internal (bottom
pipe) water and sewage works, sanitary works, and infiltration system.
