(2) NATURE AND QUANTITY OF THE PRODUCTS TO BE RENT : COMPUTER SYSTEM
FOR THEORETICAL PHYSICS 1 SET (3) TYPE OF THE PROCUREMENT : RENT
(4) BASIC REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROCUREMENT : A THE PRODUCT SHOULD BE
COMPOSED OF THE SUB-SYSTEMS : LARGE SCALE COMPUTATION SERVER, SMALL
SCALE COMPUTATION SERVER, FILE SERVER, HOMEPAGE SERVER, DATABASE
SERVER, NUMERICAL ANALYSIS SERVER, SCIENTIFIC VISUALIZATION SERVER,
LOGIN SERVER AND NETWORK DEVICES ETC. THE SYSTEM IS OPERATED UNDER
THE UNIX ENVIRONMENT. B THE PRODUCT SHOULD SUPPORT ALL THE CURRENT
SYSTEM COMPUTATION. LARGE SCALE HIGH SPEED VECTOR COMPUTATION (NEC
SX-8 48CPUS) SCALAR PARALLEL COMPUTATION (SGI ALTIX3700 64CPUS) AND
ITS TOTAL ACTUAL PERFORMANCE (DOUBLE PRECISION FLOATING POINT NUMBER
OPERATION PERFORMANCE) MUST BE AT LEAST 85 TIMES AS HIGH AS THE
CURRENT SYSTEM'S. C LARGE SCALE COMPUTATION SERVER : IT MUST BE
COMPOSED OF MULTIPLE COMPUTATIONAL NODES. EACH NODE MUST HAVE 32GB
OR MORE SHARED MEMORY. THE TOTAL MAIN MEMORY OF THE SYSTEM MUST BE
11TB OR MORE. IN CASE THE VECTOR PARALLEL COMPUTATION IS INCLUDED,
ITS TOTAL PERFORMANCE MUST BE AT LEAST 1.6TFLOPS AND IT MUST HAVE
MORE THAN 1TB MAIN MEMORY AND MORE THAN 20TB DISK STORAGE. FORTRAN,
C, C++ COMPILER WHICH HAVE AUTOMATIC PARALLELIZING, SHARED MEMORY
PARALLELIZING, MESSAGE PASSING PARALLELIZING MUST BE SUPPLIED. THE
GENERAL NUMERICAL ANALYSIS LIBRARIES SUCH AS LAPACK, IMSL MUST BE
PROVIDED. D SMALL SCALE COMPUTATION SERVER : IT SHOULD HAVE MORE
THAN 120 HIGH PERFORMANCE CORES. ONE NODE MUST HAVE 32GB OR MORE
MEMORY AND TOTAL MEMORY MUST BE MORE THAN 160GB. PROGRAMING
ENVIROMENT SUCH AS FORTRAN, C, C++ SHOULD BE SUPPLIED. THE GENERAL
NUMERICAL ANALYSIS LIBRARIES SUCH AS LAPACK, IMSL MUST BE PROVIDED.
THERE IS NO NEED OF SMALL SCALE COMPUTATION SERVER IF ITS
COMPUTATION CAPABILITIES ARE PROVIDED BY THE LARGE SCALE COMPUTATION
SERVER. E THE CURRENT RESOURCES, SUCH AS THE SOFTWARES DEVELOPED BY
USERS, MUST BE EASILY MOVED TO THE OFFERED PRODUCT. F FILE SERVER
MUST CONSIST OF HIGHLY RELIABLE FAST MAGNETIC DISK DEVICE WHICH
CAPACITY IS 200TB OR MORE. G HOMEPAGE SERVER MUST BE HIGHLY
FAULT-TOLERANT AND REDUNDANT. ITS DISK STORAGE MUST BE 10TB OR MORE.
H DATABASE SERVER MUST BE HIGHLY FAULT-TOLERANT AND REDUNDANT. ITS
DISK STORAGE MUST BE 1TB OR MORE. I NUMERICAL ANALYZING SOFTWARE
MATHEMATICA MUST BE SUPPLIED FOR THE NUMERICAL ANALYSIS SERVER, AND
MULTIPLE USERS MUST BE ABLE TO USE THE NUMERICAL ANALYZING SOFTWARE
SIMULTANEOUSLY ON IT. J IDL MUST BE SUPPLIED FOR THE SCIENTIFIC
VISUALIZATION SERVER AND USERS MUST BE ABLE TO USE IDL AND AVS ON
IT. K LOGIN SERVER MUST BE HIGHLY FAULT-TOLERANT AND REDUNDANT. L
FIREWALL MUST BE HIGHLY FAULT-TOLERANT AND REDUNDANT. M NETWORK
SWITCHES MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT CAPABILITY FOR HIGH SPEED
COMMUNICATIONS. N EACH SERVER MUST INCLUDE UPS. O ALL SUB-SYSTEMS
MUST BE CONNECTED WITH HIGH SPEED NETWORK. P THE PRODUCT MUST HAVE
MANAGEMENT TOOLS AND SHOULD BE FULLY SUPPORTED FOR PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE AND RECOVERY. Q THE HARDWARE OF THE PRODUCT MUST BE
