II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: This is a voluntary pin notice and is neither a formal call for
competition nor a notice to commence a procurement process.
HSE intends to shortly commence a procurement process to select a suitably
competent and capable service provider to conduct a data gathering
exercise on how the following services are delivered to HSE; security,
contract catering, contract cleaning and portering.
The object of the data gathering exercise will be to develop a current
delivery profile for these services which will include costs, benchmarks,
activity levels, service levels etc across a diverse and varied range of
service locations and facilities.
In advance of this procurement, it has been decided to undertake a market
sounding exercise. This purpose of this exercise will be to seek the views
of interested providers in the FM market on a potential service delivery
model for this data gathering exercise. This market sounding exercise will
take the form of a presentation by Commercial & Support Services where the
objectives of the exercise will be outlined. Participants will then be
invited to make written submissions on any matters they feel are relevant
to the data gathering exercise.
The presentation will take place on 9.11.2009 at 10:00 (local time) in
Board Room, Office of Director of Commercial and Support Services, 2/3
Parnell Square East, Dublin 1, IRELAND.
Any service providers interested in attending should nominate only 1
employee of their firm to attend. The name of the person attending should
be sent to Mr Sean Bresnan, Assistant National Director, Commercial &
Support Services (mailto: sean.bresnan@hse.ie) no later than 15:00 (local
time) on Wednesday 4th November. Only those service providers who have
registered their intention to attend will be permitted to participate in
the event.
Any service provider in attendance will have the opportunity after this
presentation to submit their views and observations which will be taken
into consideration in designing the HSE procurement strategy.
