SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
HFK-09-070 Helleren Building pit and piling works E21.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Works.
Realisation, by whatever means of work, corresponding to the requirements
specified by the contracting authorities.
Main site or location of works: Nygårdstangen in Bergen, Norway.
II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The awarding
authorities for the project are Hordaland county and Bergen municipality.
A design contest was held in 2007 for a new sixth form college and main
facility for a swimming and diving pool at Nygårdstangen. A project draft
has thus been chosen and an engineering design group engaged.
The site is planned to have a total gross area of approx. 28 000 m 2
divided between 6 floors plus basements which will house the technical
installations. The college part makes up approx. 16 000 m 2 and the
swimming pool approx. 12 000 m 2.
The supporting constructions shall be steel and concrete.
The awarding authority has engaged Rambøll Norge AS for project management
services and KHR architects in co-operation with the EKJ engineers for
engineering design services for the facilities. Both companies are
situated in Copenhagen.
External consultants have been engaged to undertake an independent control
of the engineering design services.
A separate contract has been established for construction management
services. The construction management shall comprise of general
construction management and technical construction management. The
technical construction management is for the following trades:
Geotechniques/engineering geology, fire engineering, HVAC and sanitation,
electro installations and swimming pool installations. The construction
management will be carried out by Erstad og Lekven AS.
It is assumed that the works will be carried out by awarding authority
managed lots.
This notice is for lot E21 Construction pit and piling works.
