The modification for increased CASIES support will be issued to the incumbent contractor, Linquest Corporation, 5140 Goldleaf Circle, Los Angeles CA, 90056-1299.

The purpose of this action is to authorize increased support for 50 full time equivalent (FTE) persons on the CASIES contract to meet MCSW mission needs. This modification does not add new requirements to, nor extend the period of performance of, the CASIES contract.

The MILSATCOM Systems Wing issued a Sources Sought Synopsis on 15 April 2005 to solicit input from industry and examined the acquisition history of this type of support to the EPS and EN program. The program office maintains cognizance over the protected SATCOM market and has seen no other companies emerge with the capability to meet these requirements without incurring a significant duplication of costs and unacceptable schedule impact to the program.
