| Description | By this Request for Tender (RFT), the Mint seeks toestablish a panel of suppliers from whom the Mint willprocure Precious Metal Blanks and who will purchasefrom the Mint Unrequired Precious Metal left over fromthe Mint's production process. The size of the panel willultimately depend upon the number and scope of Tenderssubmitted and the Mint's assessment of their value formoney. The Mint reserves the right to appoint only a soleSupplier if it decides that such an appointment will providebest value for money. |
| Conditions for Participation | 1.1.1 The Conditions for Participation are mandatory requirements, which describe minimum standards that suppliers must meet for their tenders to be considered. If Tenderers do not meet the Conditions for Participation, they will be excluded from the evaluation process. Tenderers must therefore provide the following:1.1.2 confirmation that the Tenderer is a manufacturer of precious metal blanks for the minting of coins 1.1.3 confirmation that neither the Tenderer nor any nominated subcontractor are at the time of Tender experiencing an Insolvency Event, within the meaning of the Draft Deed of Standing Offer. 12.2.4 confirmation that neither the Tenderer nor any nominated subcontractor has been the subject of a judgement or arbitration determination in connection with any claim from a customer that finds they had deficiencies in performance of any requirement or obligation under a contract for the supply of metal blanks or purchase of scrap metal. 12.2.5 confirmation that neither the Tenderer, nor any nominated subcontractor is at the time of Tender named as not complying with the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 (Cth). 12.2.6 confirmation that neither the Tenderer nor any nominated subcontractors is at the time of Tender named on the list of persons and entities designated as terror under the Charter of United Nations (Anti-Terrorism Measures) Regulations 2001. 12.2.7 confirmation that neither the Tenderer nor any nominated subcontractor has a judicial decision against it (not including a decision(s) under appeal) relating to employee entitlements where the Tenderer or nominated subcontractor have not paid the claim. |
| Timeframe for Delivery | The contract will have a start date of 1 January 2010 and will be for a 3 year period with the option to extend for 2 further periods of 1 year. |
