RECOVERY ACT - The James H Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tennessee 37684, has a requirement for Project No. R621-09-103, Construct New Electrical Distribution System. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and design-build services necessary for an engineering and construction project to provide an alternate electrical power source onto the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Campus, Mountain Home, Tennessee. The work will include all site preparation and electrical distribution hardware necessary to connect existing Quillen VA Medical Center electrical switchgear to the Johnson City Power Board substation. The contractor shall also provide all required temporary equipment to ensure continuity of electrical power for the 24 hour per day / 7 day per week medical center operations, as necessary during construction. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned is 221121. The estimated cost range for this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. This procurement is 100% full and open. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be posted on or about October 23, 2009 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued, contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Amendments will not be mailed but will also be posted at the Fedbizopps website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for bid opening. Proposals are due no later than 2 pm CT on 11-23-2009 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, 4th Floor Room 435, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. NOTE: Proposals should not be sent to the James H Quillen VA Medical Center, Mtn Home, Tennessee. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
