The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L)Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS) anticipates soliciting a Sole Source Firm Fixed price contract to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. This requirement is a foreign military sale for the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt for the production and manufacture of a 120mm Insensitive Munition High Explosive with Tracer (HE-T) Cartridge in accordance with Performance Specification PRF 41001035. The anticipated quantity will be for 15,500 +/-10 Insensitive Munition HE-T cartridges with a period of performance of 48 months. This requirement falls under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (f)(2)(E) and DFARS 206.302-4, and therefore no justification and approval as described in FAR 6.303 and 6.304 is required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A draft Request for Proposal will be posted on or around 06 October 2009.
