SECTION II.B: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT (SUPPLIES OR SERVICES)
II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY:
UK-Hamilton: floating housing support for households with complex needs.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Services.

II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: South Lanarkshire Council, Housing and Technical Resources, are
seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced organisations
for the provision of a service to provide floating housing support to
households affected by homelessness in South Lanarkshire who are
considered to have complex support needs.
The service will be expected to cover the whole of South Lanarkshire,
including rural Clydesdale.
The service will be required to offer housing support to all household
types and where necessary, to assess and provide responses to the needs of
children affected by homelessness.
It is expected that the service will support between 80 and 100 households
at any one time, providing between 200 and 250 hours of support a week.
The key aim of the service will be to support service users in accessing
and sustaining appropriate temporary and permanent accommodation by
developing person-centred support packages and engaging in effective
partnership working with Housing Services.
Providers will be expected to be registered with the SCRC for the
provision of housing support services and be able to demonstrate
substantial experience in the delivery of housing support services to
homeless households with complex needs.
The anticipated commencement date for the new service will be 1.4.2010.

year. The commencement date will be agreed as soon as practicable after
the award date. The anticipated commencement date for the new service will
be 1.4.2010.
