Individual service contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/129108/D/SER/RCA.
2. Procedure: International restricted.
3. Programme: EDF.
4. Financing: Financing agreement 9 PTO REG 14.
5. Contracting authority: The Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA),
represented by the Chief Executive Officer, George Town, CAYMAN ISLANDS.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: The contract is for a period of 24 months. The
technical assistant (TA) will be based in the Cayman Islands and be
expected to provide general technical and financial management for the
RADAR project in accordance with approved guidelines within the financing
agreement. S/he will be responsible for the supervision and coordination
of all project activities including the follow-up of all tenders and
contracts executed under the project.
8. Indicative maximum budget: 380 000 EUR.
9. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: 29.10.2009.
10. Additional information: The overall objective of the project is to
make contiguous the coverage of weather radar stations in the entire
Caribbean region, while at the same time improving the early weather
warning system for the people of the Cayman Islands.
11. Legal basis: EDF: ACP–EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000 as amended on 25.6.2005 and in 2008 (Annex IV).
