SECTION II.B: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT (SUPPLIES OR SERVICES)
II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY: A
framework agreement on purchases of printers, copying machines, telefax
machines and multifunctional printers/copying machines including
accessories for The National Library of Norway.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Supplies.
Main place of performance or of delivery: Mo i Rana og Oslo.
II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: A 3 year framework agreement with an option for prolonging the
contract period by 1 additional year, for supplementary purchases of
printers, scanners, telefaxmachines, photo copying machines and multi
functional printers/copying machines that combine 2 or more og the
functions performed by the 4 machinetypes mentioned in the beginning of
this sentence. The framework agreement will in addition to including our
purchases of all machinetypes mentioned above, also contain a service-,
repair- and maintenance contract covering all the machinetypes. The
service agreement must include all necessary assistance for installation,
configuration and related services. The deliveries must also include the
software/hardware etc. necessary for monitoring printers and copying
machines. It is therefor important that the supplier has at his disposal a
well developed service organization with the necessary manpower and know
how to fulfill The national Library's needs at its 2 locations. Additional
deliveries of special software etc. may be of interest.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 6 000 000 NOK.
Division into lots: no.

II.7) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This contract do not contain the purchases
of the various types of scanners used to digitize the National Library's
collection of various format sound, film , video, photo or text etc..
These types of scanners are subject to separate already signed framework
agreements.
