UK-Ashton under Lyne: mobile and flexible working software for regulatory
services.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Supplies.
II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: This Council is looking at options for customer service,
efficiency and financial improvements in its Housing and Community
Regeneration and Environmental Enforcement Divisions and is seeking
expressions of interest from innovative suppliers who may wish to assist.
We are a unitary authority and the Divisions deal with traditional
Environmental Health functions along with Trading Standards, and the full
range of Town Planning and Building Control functions. We also have
control of Bereavement Services and Licensing and linking those services
with Estate Management and Land Charges. Future expansion of the system
could include some engineering services, for example street naming and
numbering.
Our vision is to offer both staff and customers flexibility in service
delivery, independent of, though not exclusive of, the office based model.
The chosen solution will integrate with document management, mapping, on
site recording and reporting, customer requests from multiple streams, and
workflow management. In essence mobile and flexible working. We expect
that any solution would include or integrate with a corporate gazetteer
and would be compatible with the Councils e-enabled services strategy.
