DescriptionThe successful contractor is required to conduct various types of research to provide insight into the Australian public's changing (or unchanging) attitudes towards biotechnologies. Secondly, the contractor is to provide guidance in the form of a written report to the Department on its research findings outlining the influencers of attitudinal change and the public values that influence attitudes towards biotechnologies in the Australian community.
Conditions for ParticipationConditions for Participation:
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender must not be named as not complying with the Equal Employment Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 (Cth);
The tenderer and any subcontractors proposed in the tender are not insolvent, bankrupt, in liquidation, or under administration or receivership;
The lead researchers must have, or be eligible for, current Qualified Practising Market Researcher (QPMR) accreditation. The tenderer should provide details of any current QPMR accreditation (if any); and
Experience in researching issues concerning science and technology.
Timeframe for DeliveryIt is anticipated that the survey period will commence by the end of October 2009.  The final report and presentation of final findings to the Department are required by the end of March 2010.
