Synopsis - 1680, SHROUD, INFLIGHT REF PR Number(s): FD2030-09-81567 Estimated Release date of RFQ: 5 October 2009 Estimated Response Date for RFQ: 4 November 2009 The anticipated award date will be: 1 December 2009 Item: 0001 New Manufactured Material NSN: 1680-01-441-6921FL P/N: 400651-4 Description: Cylinder MULTI POINT REFUELING BOOM KC135 ALL the shroud is fiberglass and its basic dimensions are 9" outside diameter and 12" long. The shroud assembly fits over the reception coupling to streamline the coupling and protect its latch mechanism. It also protects and directs airflow over the two air driven generators.Quantity: 1 year basic contract and two 1-year (12 months) options, BEQ is 14 for the total contract, Minimum Order Quantity is 1 each and Maximum Order Quantity is 8 each, with a Total Contract Maximum of 21 each. Applicable to: KC-135 Destn: FB2039, Tinker AFB Oklahoma HISTORY: Last purchase was January 2007 to Sargent Fletcher, Inc. Unit price was <$6,000 for a quantity of 18. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(13)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Current qualified sources are: Sargent Fletcher, Inc. (Cage: 72429) Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
