Supply Board (ESB) has an ongoing requirement to purchase enterprise UNIX
servers. The contract will also cover:
(a) the maintenance of the items purchased;
(b) the maintenance of existing Unix servers & AIX Software in ESB;
(c) the maintenance of existing VMS hardware & software in ESB.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Electricity Supply Board (ESB) has an
ongoing requirement to purchase enterprise UNIX (AIX or equivalent)
servers, which will be used to run mission critical applications. It is
intended that the contract will provide for a drawdown arrangement,
allowing ESB to call down requirements at regular intervals, and the
ongoing maintenance of the items purchased. The contract will also cover
the maintenance of existing Unix hardware and AIX software in ESB. In
addition, the 4th Lot covers the maintenance of legacy VMS hardware &
software which ESB expects to phase out within the lifetime of the
contract.

II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: Up to 60 (from the award of the contract).
