II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Rotherham MBC
is inviting bids from suitably qualified organisations for the supply and
delivery of Potato and Potato Specialities. The anticipated spend is in
the region of 70 000 GBP per annum, a breakdown of spend will be supplied
within the tender documents.
The framework will be awarded initially for a period of 1 year, with the
option to extend at the sole discretion of RMBC for a further 3 years on a
year by year basis thereafter. Although RMBC would like to award this
agreement to one supplier they reserve the rights to split the framework
agreement into specialist lots, these lots will be identified in the
tender documents.
All suppliers who wish to be considered for this tender must register on
the SCMS system and electronically complete and upload the Pre-Tender
Questionnaire. You should upload the completed Pre-Tender Questionnaire
document onto the SCMS system no later than 17:00 hrs on Friday 13.3.2009.
All Pre-Tender Questionnaires must be returned through the system and will
not be accepted by any other means.

Lthough the contracting authority for the purpose of this notice is,
Rotherham Borough Council, it is intended that other contracting
Authorities will be able to avail themselves of the goods or services
provided by the appointed contractor under the framework agreement between
the appointed contractor and the Council. Where another contracting
authority orders goods or services under the framework Agreement, the
Council will act as the contracting authority's agent and the contracting
authority will have a direct contractual relationship with the appointed
