The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) through the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), invites interested firms to apply for eligibility and to bid for the hereunder project:

Prospective bidders should posses a valid PCAB License (Size Range: Medium A) and must have completed within the last ten (10) years preceding the bidding, a single contract under a design and build scheme that is similar to the contract to be bid, and whose value, adjusted to current prices using the National Statistics Office (NSO) consumer price indices, must be at least fifty percent (50%) of the ABC. However, contractors under Small A and Small B categories without similar experience on the contract to be bid may be allowed to bid if the cost of such is not more than fifty percent (50%) of the Allowable Range of Contract Cost (ARCC) of their registration.

Bid documents can be obtained from the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Secretariat at the Ground Floor, Administration Building, LRTA Compound, Aurora Blvd., Pasay City, starting September 9, 2009 - September 15, 2009 during regular office hours from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. upon submission of Letter of Intent (LOI) and payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Pesos Only (PhP 10,000.00).

A site inspection shall be conducted on September 16, 2009, Wednesday, 10:00 A.M., at the LRTA Engineering Department, Gate-2, Line-1 Depot, LRTA Compound, Aurora Blvd., Pasay City.

For purposes of clarifying issues, a pre-bid conference will be held on September 17, 2009, Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at the Cafeteria, Line-2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City.

The BAC Secretariat shall receive sealed bids not later than October 1, 2009, Thursday, 9:00 A.M. and shall then be publicly opened immediately thereafter at Cafeteria, Line-2 Depot, Santolan, Pasig City.

LRTA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, without assuming any obligation whatsoever to offset expenses or losses the bidder may incur in the preparation of its bids, and will entertain only such bid/s established to be the most advantageous to the LRTA.
