The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-West, Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for the Repair of Interior Stair Treads at the Thrall Hall U.S. Army Reserve Center in Upland, CA. Work on the project will include but is not limited to: upgrade to the existing interior stair case treads by removing all damaged, existing treads, filling all voids left in the concrete, from existing stair tread plates and install new McMaster-Carr rubber treads with grit surface or like item on 40 steps of Thrall Hall USAR Center. The stair treads will withstand high impact, and be securely mounted to the existing concrete staircases; to ensure foot traction and help prevent slip and fall accidents. At project completion all exterior staircase and landing tread surfaces will be renovated and complement the existing look of the building. All work is to be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work, and Manufactures Recommendations. Full details will be provided in the solicitation.

Solicitation number W9124N-09-T-0225 will be available on or about 9 September 2009.

MANDATORY SITE VISIT is scheduled for Monday, 14 September 2009 at 2:00 pm (PST).

Site Visit location is: The Thrall Hall USARC, 1284 E. 7TH Street, Upland, CA. The primary Site Visit POC is Ms. Deborah Burr; deborah.burr@usar.army.mil. Alternate Site Visit POC: Kent Jackson 562-795-2098 or cell 562-235-9967. Only contractors that sign in during the mandatory site visit will be considered for this acquisition.

Proposals are due Friday, 18 September 2009 at 4:30 pm (PST).

This acquisition is a 100 percent Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990 with a size standard of $14.0 M. Performance period is 60 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated magnitude for this project is Less than $25,000.00. Payment and performance bonds are not required for this project. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract.
