SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement:
Estimated value excluding VAT: 135 000 GBP.
Frequency and value of the contracts to be awarded: 4 years.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): We are
currently seeking tenders for the provision of CDM Co-ordinator Services
for various construction projects within the Authority. The contract will
be for an initial 24 month period, with an option to negotiate for a
further 2 years, by mutual agreement. The contract will also be open to
Cumbria County Council and other Cumbrian District Authorities who are
members of EPiC. (Effective Procurement in Cumbria). There is however no
guarentee of minimum value of this contract due to it relying on funding
for notifiable Construction Projects. All core duties are to be in line
with the Construction (Design and Management) regulations 2007 and will be
specified in schedule 1 of the ITT documentation. Only suitably qualified
personnel and companies qualified to all current legal requirements and in
line with statutory Health and Safety Legislation will be considered.

appropriate CDM notifiable projects at the discretion of the Council on a
project by project basis at the agreed contract rate.
