II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: The provision of void property security services, estate
management and associated services to public sector bodies in England,
Wales and Scotland as follows:
Void property security services essential to the framework - Void building
inspection, De-mountable steel window and door screens, boarding up
services, pre-demolition security steel screens, polymer security screens,
net curtains, GSM and Radio alarms with multiple PIRs, void alarm
monitoring service, pre-demolition strip-outs (incl. utilities
disconnections), void property clean and clear, sharps and clinical waste
clearance, removal of bulk refuse, abandoned vehicles etc., concrete
barriers, temporary fencing, security meter box covers, 24hr/7day call out
service.
Void property security services optional to the framework - electronically
managed access key systems, risk management security services, empty
property insurance, security fencing, mould eradication services.
Estate management and associated services essential to the framework -
graffiti removal, bird droppings removal, bird deterrents, grounds
maintenance, window cleaning, gully clearance, power washing and steam
cleaning of building surfaces and pathways, estate cleaning, response
services, sharps and clinical waste clearance, removal of bulk refuse,
abandoned vehicles etc.
Estate management and associated services optional to the framework -
estate patrols, UK based 24hr/7day call handling facilities for repair and
maintenance.
Companies submitting tenders will be required to demonstrate their
capability, capacity and willingness to offer all services described as
'essential' to the framework. Companies will not be obliged to offer those
services described as 'optional' but their ability to do so will be taken
into consideration when evaluating offers.
Estimated cost excluding VAT:
Range: between 8 000 000,00 and 12 000 000,00 GBP.

II.7) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This tender process will result in
framework agreements being set up. The duration of the framework
agreements will be 24 months from the award date, with possible extensions
of 12 months and a further 12 months to a maximum of 48 months.
It is intended that two service lots with four geographical regions will
be available in England and Wales and two service lots with one
geographical region will be available in Scotland.
It is intended that the framework agreements will commence on 1.5.2010.

LOT No: 1
TITLE: Void property security and associated services
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: The provision of void property security and
associated services to public sector bodies in England, Wales and Scotland
as follows:
Services essential to the framework - Void building inspection,
de-mountable steel window and door screens, boarding up services,
pre-demolition security steel screens, polymer security screens, net

4) INDICATION ABOUT DIFFERENT DATE FOR START OF AWARD PROCEDURES AND/OR
DURATION OF CONTRACT: Scheduled date for start of award procedures:

Duration in months: 24 (from the award of the contract).
5) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT LOTS: It is intended that this service
lot will be split into five geographical regions - South England,
Midlands, North England, Wales and Scotland, over two separate Contract
Notices. Companies must be able to demonstrate their ability to service
all regions applied for, by means of references and/or case studies.
