II.1.4) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Youth Crime
Family Intervention Project (FIP) is targeted at families where at least
one member is either an adult or youth Prolific or Priority Offender
(PPO). Where the PPO is an adult, (i.e. 18+) the Youth Crime FIP
specifically targets families where the adult PPO has children or younger
siblings under the age of 18. The FIP provides intensive support and
guidance to vulnerable families who have multiple needs, significant
levels of dysfunction, and offending. The FIP works closely with criminal
justice partners and a range of other agencies to tackle the problems
faced by the families to enable them to reduce their offending, and its
impact on the family and wider community.
