V - ALS/BLS Ambulance Services VISN 22 VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to solicit proposals to provide ALS/BLS Ambulance Services for the Long Beach VA, 5901 East Seventh Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. The NAICS code is 621910, with a Size Standard of $7.0 Million. The contractor is required to provide ambulance transportation on an as need basis to eligible VA Beneficiaries. Services shall be required twenty-four (24) hours a day seven (7) days a week including all Federal Holidays. The contract shall be for a base year with the Government's option to exercise two (2) one (1) year option periods. Transportation for VA Beneficiaries will be primarily in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and offerors must be licensed in those areas with an established dispatch center. The bid package will be available on or about 9/9/2009 electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No fax or telephone requests will be accepted. Electronic offers will not be accepted. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments. It is essential for offerors to register on the Solicitation Mailing List for this solicitation to receive notification of any/all amendments. Amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the above web sites only. Proposals must be received by 2:00 PM, 9/22/2009 local time. Quotations shall be submitted to: Dept. of Veterans Affairs, VA Long Beach Healthcare System (600/NLO/MP), 5901 East 7th Street, Bldg., 149, Long Beach, CA 90822, and directed to the attention of Sylvia Correa (562) 826-8042. Solicitation number shall be listed on the outside of the responses for identification purposes.
