V - WHEELCHAIR/GURNEY VAN SERVICES VISN 22 VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to solicit proposals to provide Wheelchair and Gurney Van transportation services for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, in Long Beach, CA. The NAICS Codes is 485991, $7.0 million. Contractors shall furnish vans, personnel and equipment necessary to provide Wheelchair and/or Gurney Van services for eligible beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center in accordance with all existing Federal, State and Local Regulations. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY09 funds. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions later if determined necessary by the Contracting Officer. This is a firm fixed price contract. Period of performance is from the date of award with two one-year options to extend. The bid package will be available on or about 9/9/2009 electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No fax or telephone requests will be accepted. Electronic offers will not be accepted. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments. It is essential for offerors to register on the Solicitation Mailing List for this solicitation to receive notification of any/all amendments. Amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the above web sites only. Proposals must be received by 3:00 PM, 9/22/2009 local time. Quotations shall be submitted to: Dept. of Veterans Affairs, VA Long Beach Healthcare System (600/NLO/MP), 5901 East 7th Street, Bldg., 149, Long Beach, CA 90822, and directed to the attention of Sylvia Correa (562) 826-8042.
