provide housing support to homeless people in a newly refurbished
accommodation containing 43 en-suite units in the city, suitable for
providing accommodation and support to 46 people – with three rooms
suitable for couples. The units are in small groupings with shared
kitchens. The service will include 24-hour cover, part paid by rent and
housing management contributions.
The service forms part of the city’s Lifeskills Services, designed to
enable homeless people to focus on opportunities external to their housing
environment. Within the building, but only with access from outside the
building, will be Hostel Plus facility managed by the Salvation Army.
