Western Area Power Administration (Western) has a requirement for the repair/remanufacture of a Westinghouse Autotransformer: Serial Number: 6995518; Rated Power: 40MVA; Rated Voltage 115/69/34.5/12.47kV and Winding Configuration: Wye-Wye-Delta Tertiary (Autotransformer); Temperature rise (C): 75 degrees; Year of Manufacture: 1964; Phases and Frequency: 3-phase, 60 Hz. The above transformer has several oil leaks at gaskets and joints. In addition some of the high side current transformers have tested bad in the past and may need replacing. This acquisition will be handled as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. This acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this is 335311 and the business size standard is 750 employees. All offerors must complete all portions of each section of the solicitation package and must be registered in the databases as indicated on the cover letter to be considered for award. This solicitation will be issued electronically on or about August 26, 2009 on the following site: http://e-center.doe.gov/ Interested Offerors may e-mail gutierre@wapa.gov or fax 970 461-7377 to request the Specifications, however they will be posted on the above mentioned website. Note: all responses to this RFQ shall be mailed to Western Area Power Administration, 5555 E. Crossroads Blvd., Attn: J1531, Loveland, CO. 80538 8986 and must be received on or before the deadline of September 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM MST. Information hours are between 7AM and 3PM MT Monday through Friday.
