Contract description:
Provision of consultancy services for preparation of preliminary and detailed engineering designs, cost estimates and bidding documents, and environmental and social impact assessments for the investment sub-projects for Dodoma Municipal Council and Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Dodoma Municipality under the proposed Tanzania Strategic Cities Project (TSCP).

Scope of contract:
The Consultant to be employed will undertake the preparation of preliminary and detailed engineering designs, drawings, cost estimates, suitable contract packages, final bidding documents, environmental and social impact assessments, environmental management plans and where necessary, resettlement plans, and overall time-bound implementation schedules for all investment sub-projects proposed by the Dodoma Municipal Council and CDA for financing under the core urban infrastructure sub-component of TSCP.

The contract was awarded to the highest ranked consulting firm i.e. M/s SMEC International Pty Ltd in association with Proper-Consult (T) Ltd of Cooma, New South Wales, Australia for a contract price of USD 1,475,585.00 (United States Dollars One Million, Four Hundred Seventy Five Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty Five Only) plus TZS 11,600,000.00 (Tanzanian Shillings Eleven Million, Six Hundred Thousand Only).
