The point of contact for this action is Jason VanLuven, Contract Specialist, email jason.vanluven@us.army.mil. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Jay Fox, 4927 Birch Lane, Alexandria, VA 22312-2110. The contractor shall provide support investigation and analysis for the use of the FAL lidar in detecting chemical and biological aerosol agents; investigate the possibility of increasing the reliability and accuracy of lidar instruments while decreasing the size and or weight of the instrument; and identify and analyze new lidar technologies. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541690, and the size standard is $6.5MM. This is a follow on effort. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 8:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time, Monday, August 24, 2009. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
