Supply contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/128967/D/SUP/KOS.
2. Procedure: Open international.
3. Programme: IPA.
4. Financing: IPA 2009.
5. Contracting authority: The European Commission Liaison Office to
Kosovo, Pristina, KOSOVO.
6. Contract description: The purpose of this project is to upgrade the
transmission network in Kosovo by increasing the 110 kV capacity,
improving the quality of supply and establishing the IT infrastructure for
market operation.
The project includes: design, manufacturing, supply, installation and
commissioning of autotransformer and high voltage equipment at 1 of the
most important 220/110 kV substations of Kosovo's transmission network and
supply and installation of complete set of IT systems (both hardware and
software) in order to support the increasing responsibilities required by
the market operator following the evolution of the market and associated
rules.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Lot 1 — supply, installation and
commissioning of a new autotransformer 150 MVA at Prizreni 2 substation
220/110 kV.
Lot 2 — replacement of high voltage equipment at Prizreni 2 substation
220/110 kV.
Lot 3 — supply and installation of IT systems for market operation.
8. Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice: March/April
2010.

10. Legal basis: IPA Council Regulation (EC) No 1085/2006 as adopted on
17.7.2006.
