NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 1 HAWAII2RG (H2RG) 2.5um EG-A Sensor Chip Assembly(SCA) and 2 SIDECAR ASIC Cryogenic kits.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Teledyne Scientific & Imaging pursuant toFAR 13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonablyavailable from only one source. These devices are the only existing devices providingwindow gliding capability which is critical for the project. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30PM EST on datelisted above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
