II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTRACT OR PURCHASE(S): On 18.5.2005, the Government announced the construction of a new passenger terminal at Dublin Airport ("Terminal Two" or "T2"). In sanctioning Terminal Two, the Government mandated that there would be "an open tender competition to select the operator of Terminal Two" and that the competition (the "Competition") would be "organised by an independent expert panel". A consortium comprising Goodbody Corporate Finance, Matheson Ormsby Prentice and Mott MacDonald (the "Consortium") was subsequently appointed to run the Competition. On 2.2.2009, the Minister for Transport, Mr. Noel Dempsey, announced his approval for the holding of a tender process relating to the management of facilities at Terminal Two. There will now be a market consultation with a view to developing the specification for the facilities management contract at T2. This consultation may take the form of an Open Day or separate briefings with interested parties and all rights to vary the format are reserved. It is anticipated that the scope of services to be included in the facilities management contract may broadly comprise cleaning, maintenance, operational support and security screening. Note: Ultimate inclusion of the services below will be subject to market consultation.
