Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR),locatedin Folsom, CA has a requirement for mechanical mowing to control vegetation under and around transmission towers and along transmission right-of-ways(ROW). The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery IndefiniteQuantity (IDIQ), Performance-based Mechanical Mowing Contract with FirmFixedPrice Task Orders; possible multiple awards up to two Contractors for abaseperiod of 12 months and three (3) 12 month option periods. This requirementisset a-side 100% for small business with a North American IndustryClassification System (NAICS) Code of 561730 and a size standard of $7.0million. Contractors must be licensed by the State of California, must haveasafety plan approved by SNR's Safety Office before any work may begin, andmustbe registered in Central Contractors Registration [(CCR) www.bpn.gov/ccr].Ifofferors are not registered and active in the Online Representations andCertifications Application (ORCA), the representations and certificationsinthe solicitation must be completed and returned with the proposal. TheServiceContract Act, FAR 52.222-41 applies. Employers must comply with thecurrentDepartment of Labor Wage Determination (WD) Number 1977-0727, Rev 36, dated 05/26/2009. A pre-proposal conference shall be held at Western Area PowerAdministration, 114 Parkshore Drive, Folsom, CA 95630; date is tentativelysetfor August 21 at 8:00 but may change.
