ThisInvitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, on 27 June 2007. 2. TheGovernment of Sierra Leone has received a grant and credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost oftheInfrastructure Development Project (IDP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant and credit to paymentsunder the Contract for procurement of Environmental Management Equipment for the Portof Freetown. 3. TheSierra Leone Port Authority now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply and installation of new Environmental Management Equipment andassociated demonstration and training programmesin the following Lots: · Lot 1. Oil spillmanagement equipment. · Lot 2. Bilge watertreatment plant. · Lot 3. Sewage water equipment · Lot 4. Solid waste equipment Bidders may bid for one or more lotsindividually, and if discounts are offered for the award of more than one lot, they will be taken intoconsideration duringevaluation. 4. Biddingwill be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004 (revised October 2006)and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. 5.
