No. P107606 (Pulgon-Burgandy section, about 30 km of the Osh-Batken-Isfana Road, Batken Oblast, South-West KyrgyzRepublic) Transport Sector GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE The Kyrgyz Republic has applied forfinancing in the amount of about US$ 20 million equivalent from the Institutional Development Association toward the cost ofthe Civil Works for National Roads Rehabilitation Project (NRRP), Phase I (Osh-Batken-Isfana Road) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services andconsulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: - Component 1:Rehabilitation of about 30 km of the Osh-Batken-Isfana Road (Pulgon-Burgandy), the works comprise completion of existing gravelroads, and rehabilitation of existing asphalt roads, including consultancy services for supervision of civil works;
- Component 2:Advisory support and technical assistance in road sectormanagement;
- Component 3: Project Implementation Support, including project preparation facility toupdate the feasibility study and detailed designs and incremental operating costs of the Project Implementing Unit.
Procurement of contracts financedby the World Bank will be conductedthrough the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDACredits published in May 2004 and revised in October 2006, and isopen to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will beselected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers published in May 2004 and revised in October 2006. Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under theWorld Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, asthey become available, in UNDevelopment Business and dgMarket , and theTimes of Central Asia or other local newspapers. Prequalification of contractors for civil works will be required.
