Design, Supply and Install of Wastewater Treatment Plant of the

City of Ilok

Loan no. 7453/HR

1.  This invitation for bids follows the generalprocurement notice for this project that appeared in UN Development Business no. 707 on July 31, 2007.

2.         TheRepublic of Croatia has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) towards the cost ofInland Waters Project.  It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will beapplied to eligible payments under the contract for Design, Supply and Install of Wastewater Treatment Plant of the City of Ilok.

3.         Hrvatske vode now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completionof Wastewater TreatmentPlant of the City of Ilok ("the Facilities"). International competitive biddingwill be conducted in accordance with the Bank's Single Stage BiddingProcedure.

4.        Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents during office hours at the officeof Hrvatske vode, Ulica grada Vukovara 220, Zagreb, Croatia, room 321, Mr. Marko Vesel#i#, telephone: +385 (0) 1 6307 310,facsimile number: +385 (0) 1 6151 791, e-mail: marko.veselcic@voda.hr

5.         Acomplete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders from July 21, 2009. room 322 on the submission of awritten application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1000,00 HRK. The methodof payment will be by direct deposit to account:  

-       for payments inkunas- bank account of HRVATSKE VODE Zagreb at Privredna banka d.d. Zagreb account no 2340009-1100100765

-       for payment in freeconvertible currency - foreignexchange account of HRVATSKE VODE atPrivredna banka IBAN no. HR72 2340 0091 1001 0076 5 Swift Code: PBZGHR2X, for each copy.

The bidding document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail orcourier for local delivery.

6.         Theprovisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Bank Standard Bidding Documents:  Procurement ofPlant.

7.         Bids must be delivered to the office of Hrvatske vode,Ulica grada Vukovara 220, Zagreb, Croatia, 2^ndfloor room 220 on or before 12.00 p.m. local time on September22^nd 2009 and must be accompanied by a security of 500.000 HRK or its equivalent in a convertible currency.

8.         Bids will be opened in thepresence of bidders' representatives who choose to attend on September 22^nd 2009 at 12.00 p.m. local time at the officesof Hrvatske vode, ground floor, room 28a.  Late bids will be rejected.
