REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTANT SERVICES) REPUBLIC OF CROATIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE IDF Grant for Enhancing Corporate Financial Reporting in Croatia Grant No. TF 090642 Project ID No. IDF/02-09/CQ Consultant Services: Technical Assistance Services to Createa Quality Assurance MethodologyManualfor the Croatian Chamber of Auditors and Train its Staff EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST The Republic of Croatia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost ofthe Institutional Development Fund (IDF) Grant for Enhancing Corporate Financial Reporting in Croatia (TF 090642), and intends toapply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include: creating a Methodology Manual for conducting the qualityassurance over audits, audit firms and independent certifiedauditors in the Republic of Croatia, training a Quality Assurance Teamfor effectively conducting quality assurance based on the Methodology Manual, organizing a post training examination on qualityassurance for the Croatian Chamber of Auditors Quality Assurance Team. Furthermore, the reports of the consultant have to beregularly submitted to the Project Leader; the project will be effective upon signingof the contract and will close 12 monthssubsequently to that date, with an approximate start date in September 2009. The Terms of Reference (TOR) with all details for the assignment and the requiredqualifications is posted on the web-site of the Croatian Ministry of Finance as follows: www.mfin.hr. The Ministry of Finance now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest inproviding the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services(CV, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, brochures, etc.).Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the WorldBank's Guidelines:Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004).
