The Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has applied for a credit from
the International Development Association in the amount of USD
30,000,000 equivalent toward the cost of the Road Management and
Safety Project, and it intends to apply the proceeds of this credit to
payments under the contract for Consulting Services for Supervision of
Civil Works and Environmental Monitoring.

Improve road management and safety.

The Republic of Srpska Road Directorate-PIT now invites eligible
consultants to indicate their interest in providing the following
services:

- Supervision of Quality and Technology of executed works
(Construction supervision services)
- Inspection of all construction works (Construction supervision
services)
- Control of contractor’s preliminary tests and production of
material specifications (Monitoring and control services)
- Supervisory and laboratory control of installed materials
(Monitoring and control services)
- Monitoring of air quality, waste water discharges and surface
water quality using mobile laboratory (Environmental services)
- Monitoring of noise levels with mobile sound level detectors
(Environmental services)
- Monitoring of soil pollution (concentration of heavy metals,
oils and organic substances and soil pH conditions) using mobile
laboratory (Environmental services)
- Provide an inventory listing of the “social facilities and
structures” within 2 km from both sides of the road along each
road segment or object (Environment consultancy services)
- Provide an estimate of the length of the road sub-segments
(Environmental services)
- Processing and review of measured data (Environment consultancy
services)
- Prepare and delivery of reporting documents (Environment
consultancy services)

The services will be performed in the form of 1 contract covering 12
works contracts (each works contract will require 3-6 months of
consultants assignment) within 36 months.

Two copies of the expressions of interest in English language must be
delivered to the address below.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they
are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of
similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of
appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to
enhance their qualifications. Consultants will be selected in
accordance with the procedures set out in the |World Bank| Selection
and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers[1].

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address
below from 08:00 to 15:00. Expressions of interest must be delivered
to the address below by 30 April 2003.
