ADDITIONAL FINANCING FOR THE TRANSPORT REHABILITATION PROJECT

Republic of Serbiahas received the loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development(IBRD) in the amount of US$ 50 million equivalent toward the cost of the Additional Financing for the TransportRehabilitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consultingservices to be procured under this project.

The project willinclude the following components:

-                      Pavementrehabilitation works of five stretches on main and regionalroad network of the Republic of Serbia with a total length about 157km(eight road rehabilitation contracts), namely:

·                         main road M-4, Stretch: Pricevici - Valjevo (Gola Glava),15.8km,

·                         main road M-5, Stretch: Paracin - Lubnica, 82.1 km (fourlots),

·                         main road M-7, Stretch: Kac - za Zabalj, 12.4km,

·                         regional road R-101, Stretch: Obrenovac - Ub, 25.3 km; 

·                         regional road R-231, Stretch: Nova Varos - Aljinovici, 21.0km; 

-                    Consulting Servicesfor:

·                       Supervision ofroad rehabilitation works and environmental monitoring,

·                      Innovation/harmonization of road technical instructions/guidelines according to EU standards.

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will beconductedthrough the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits    , published by the World Bank in May 2004 and revised in October 2006, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the WorldBank's Guidelines: Selectionand Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers     , published by the World Bank in May 2004 andrevised in October 2006.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under theWorld Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, asthey become available, in UN Development Business    ,       dgMarket     , " O fficial Gazette of the Republic of Serbia", electronic Portal    http://portal.ujn.gov.rs    with free access and the Public Enterprise "Roads of Serbia" WebSite    http://www.putevi-srbije.rs .

Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will not berequired for the contracts under the project.
