The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) has a requirement for an annual estimate of 6,000 quantitative DON (Vomitoxin) test kits. DON is also known as Deoxyniralenol or Vomitoxin. DON is a naturally occurring mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium. Wet and cool weather from flowering to maturity promotes infection, which results in a scab or head blight in barley, wheat, oats and rye. The solicitation will be released on or about July 08, 2009. A single award is anticipated and will be firm fixed price requirements contract. The solicitation number: AG-6395-S-09-0126 is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments will be posted to this website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFEROR REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERDIOCIALLY FOR UPDATES. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation should be posted to this website on or about July 08, 2009.
