Works contract forecast
1. Publication reference: EuropeAid/128776/C/WKS/AF.
2. Procedure: Open.
3. Programme: DCI.
4. Financing: Financing Agreement DCI — ASIE/2008/20163.
5. Contracting authority: European Community, represented by the European
Commission, for and on behalf of the government of the Islamic Republic of
Afghanistan, Kabul, AFGHANISTAN.
6. Description of the contract: Phase 1 of these works has been awarded
in February 2007 and was completed by May 2009. Phase 2 will be
constructed in the area north-east of the present buildings and will
include the following new civil works (lot 1): administration building, 3
accommodation units, 2 import warehouses, 3 export warehouses, 2 dining
halls, 1 toilet unit, outdoor facilities and electro-mechanical parts (lot
2) related to these buildings plus exterior lighting system, kitchen and
miscellaneous items.
7. Indicative number and titles of lots: Lot 1 — civil works.
Lot 2 — electro-mechanical works.
8. Scheduled publication date of the procurement notice: 7.8.2009.
