GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The Kyrgyz Republic has received financing in the amount of US$ 3.0 million equivalent from the World Bank towards the cost of Capacity Building for Economic Management project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be co-financed by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of US$0.45 million.

The project will include the following components:
1. Institutional and Technical framework for government-wide macroeconomic policy development and Coordination;
2. Strengthening the capacity for economic management, analysis and policy development;
3. Development of capacity to carry out a pay and grading reform in the civil service;
4. Project management and coordination.

Goods to be procured will include: Modeling software and equipment; Publication of reports and forecasts , materials related to conduct of workshops and dissemination, books, Computer and office equipment.

Consulting Services will include hiring of various individual consultants (local and international); including but not limited to International consulting services on macro-economics, human resource management, economic policy, fiscal modeling, investment analysis and International consulting services on Regulatory impact Assessment.


Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits” dated May 2004, revised October 2006, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers” dated May 2004, revised October 2006.

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and in local newspapers such as Slovo Kyrgyzstana and Vecherniy Bishkek.

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
