Invitation for Bids (IFB) Sierra Leone Infrastructure Development Project, Port of Freetown Procurement of Navigational Aids IDA Grant No. H191-SL, IDA Grant No. H405-SL, IDA Credit No. CR4469-SL 1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared inDevelopment Business, on 27 June 2005 2. The Government of Sierra Leone has applied for a grant from the International DevelopmentAssociation toward the cost of the Infrastructure Development Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grantto payments under the Contract for procurement of navigational aids for the Port of Freetown. 3. The Sierra Leone Ports Authority now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders forthe supply and installation of new navigational aids including Cardinal Light Buoy, Lateral Marker Light Buoys, etc. in onelot. 4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specifiedin the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004 (revised October 2006) and is open toall bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Sierra Leone Port Authority andinspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below. The method of payment will be by cash or bankers check. TheBidding Documents will be sent by courier service. 8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 a.m. on 24 August 2009.Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
