TheDrug Enforcement Administration has a requirement for the acquisition of flame resistant, anti-static protective clothing with thermal resistance equivalent to or greater than 7.5 oz. sq/yd, IIIA Nomex. All clothing must be made of inherentlhy fire resistant fabric. Fire retardend applied fabric is unacceptable. Various sizes are required in undetermined quantities. The estimate is 40 sets on a bi-monthly schedule. A set consists of two pieces of a jacket and trouser. Shall have stand-up collar, adjustable tabs on sleeve cuffs, two-way zipper, velcro strip [pile surface] abpve left breast pocket [1 inch x 4 inch], reinforced e;bow and knee areas and legs must have adjustable cuffs to allow cinching. Jacket requires two breast pockets, adjustable side tabs for fit around waist. Trouser requires adjustable waist, front hand pockets, two closeable rear hip pockets and one cargo pocket on each leg. This pre-solicitation notice / sources sought is being candelled to change the requirement definition as a consequence of changed clandestine class schedules due to 2009 budgetary constraints. A new solicitation will be released if enhanced class shedules are approved and 2010 budgetary resources become available.
