GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

ARMENIA
ADDITIONAL FINANCING-LIFELINE ROADS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Project ID No.: P116760


The Republic of Armenia has applied for financing in the amount of USD 36.3 million equivalent from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the ADDITIONAL FINANCING - LIFELINE ROADS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by IBRD and the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The project will include the following components:

• Civil works for rehabilitation of local roads in different regions o Armenia
• Design and Supervision of Civil Works for roads rehabilitation
• Technical assistance for Armenian Roads Directorate and Ministry of Transport and Communication
• Incremental operational expenses.

Procurement of contracts financed by the IBRD will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004 revised October 2006), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 revised October 2006).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and “Hayastani Hanrapetutyun Daily” local newspaper.

Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will be required for the following contracts: “Works for rehabilitation of road section Salvard-Hatsavan-Ashotavan-Sisian” and “Gyumri-Akhuryan-Musaelyan-Jrarat”

Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to prequalify/bid under ICB procedures, and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
