SECTION II.B: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT (SUPPLIES OR SERVICES)
II.1) TITLE ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTRACT BY THE CONTRACTING AUTHORITY:
UK-Stockton on Tees: contract for the supply of 150 000 tonnes of rock
salt.
II.2) TYPE OF CONTRACT AND PLACE OF DELIVERY OR OF PERFORMANCE: Supplies.
Main place of performance or of delivery: Tees Valley and Durham
Deliveries to various locations within the Boroughs of Stockton on Tees,
Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland, and Darlington.
II.3) SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND QUANTITY OR VALUE OF SUPPLIES OR
SERVICES: Supply of 150 000 tonnes of rock salt to members of the Tees
Valley Joint Procurement Group. Delivery will be to key locations within
each of the 5 Tees Valley boroughs. The contract will commence on
1.11.2009 and is anticipated have a maximum timescale of 10 years at
current volumes purchased of 15 000 tonnes per year between the group
members.
Estimated cost excluding VAT: 3 000 000 GBP.
Division into lots: no.
II.4) COMMON PROCUREMENT VOCABULARY (CPV): 14410000.
II.5) SCHEDULED DATE FOR START OF AWARD PROCEDURES: 1.10.2009.
