The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends tonegotiate a sole source contract with Cubic Corporation of San Diego, CA. Thiscontract will require Cubic Corporation to manufacture, test and deliver four(4)High Frequency Power Amplifiers (HFPAs). This new sole source contract toCubic Corporation will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for one year. The HFPA provides the PA functionality for the DMR to communicate using HighFrequency (HF) Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS)communications waveforms. The construction will require detailed knowledge ofand extensive experience with the DMR HFPA design data and software sourcecode as well as knowledge of the existing DMR terminal, architecture, andoperating interfaces. As the original equipment designer and sole productionmanufacturer, Cubic Corporation is the only company that possesses thedetailed knowledge and expertise to perform the aforementioned tasks.
