II.7) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Stockport Council has been operating
Managed Workspace since 2000. The current portfolio comprises of 62,000 sq
ft at Houldsworth Mill in Reddish, Stockport and a smaller facility in
Merchants House in Stockport Town Centre. The facilities have been
externally managed by a private contractor on behalf of the Council. The
current contract finishes in August 2010.
Following consultation with stakeholders, it is the Council's intention to
invite submissions of Pre-qualification Questionnaires from interested
providers, and subsequently to invite tenders for a service.
Stockport Council are keen to meet with interested parties who have
experience in managing Managed Workspace facilities. We plan to hold a
consultation event with potential providers on Thursday 18th June at 11am
at Stockport Town Hall, Wellington Road South, Stockport SK1 3XE. As part
of the event the Council will provide an overview of the Council's Managed
Workspace portfolio.
