DescriptionThe Controller will be used to implement the core functionality of the SPM, namely the generation of the drive signals for the motion stage[s] for the horizontal (X-Y) scanning movement of the sample and/or probe, feedback control of the X-Y position of the sample and/or probe, acquisition and processing of the probe signal, feedback control of the Z position of the sample with respect to the probe, acquisition, processing and display of topography, probe signals and other experimental parameters. In addition, the controller manages auxiliary SPM functions, such as spectroscopy and coarse motion control.

Timeframe for DeliveryIt is expected that delivery and installation of the instrument will be completed before 30 June 2009. A reasonable lead time will be negotiated with the supplier, if necessary.
