SPECIFIC P ROCUREMENT NOTICE
Invitation for Prequalification Croatia Trade and Transport IntegrationProject Construction of the Bulk CargoTerminal in the Port of Ploce (Phase I) Loan No. 7410HR Thisinvitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in DevelopmentBusiness No. 663 of September 9 th , 2005 and revised in No. 692 of August 2 nd, 2006 on-line and in DGMarket. TheRepublic of Croatia applied for a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Trade and Transport IntegrationProject , and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract forConstruction of theBulk Cargo Terminal in the Port of Ploce (Phase I). Thecontract is partially financed by the EuropeanBank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The Portof Ploce Authority intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for: construction of the infrastructure for the new Bulk Cargo Terminal-PhaseI (quay construction, access channel,stockyard area, foundation for the handling equipment, roads, railway tracks, electrical supply installations, water supplyinstallations, drainage and others). It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in September 2009. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines:Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as definedin the guidelines. Interestedeligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Port of Ploce Authority(address below) from 07,00 to 15,00 hours. The method of payment will be direct deposit to specifiedaccounts.
