Note: All responses to this IFB shall be mailed to Western AreaPower Administration, P.O. Box 6457, Phoenix, AZ 85005-6457. Physical address for hand carried bids: Western Area Power Administration, 615 S. 43rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Western Area power Administration, Desert South West Region, has a construction project which consists of furnishing all necessary labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary in the construction project to install 4.8 miles of Optical overhead Ground Wire on existing ELV-HUR towers. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. The project magnitude is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Place of performance is Sacramento County, CA 95626. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at http://e-center.doe.gov or http://www.fbo.gov on or about June 16, 2009 and the projected bid opening date is July 16, 2009. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated with an estimated completion date within 120 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. No phone calls will be accepted. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
