SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

Greater Manchester Offender Project.

area and within prisons throughtout the UK.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The 10 Greater
Manchester Supporting People Commissioning Bodies and the Greater
Manchester Probation Area (GMPA) are partners and founders for this
project. The NW Prisons Area Office is also a partner.
The project is to assist people in custody (who are to reside within the
Greater Manchester Area) to obtain and maintain suitable accommodation
when they leave prison.
The service will work with:
Men and women aged 18 and above who:
— are in custody within the North West of England,
— originate from and wish to return to Greater Manchester,
— have been identified as having no accommodation on release.
The Contract is for an initial period of 2 years with an option to extend
for a further 2 years.
